AHEAD is delighted to invite you to take part in a Dialogue on:
Inclusive teaching and assessment in higher education and
What is your role as a disability/access officer and
How can you influence an inclusive teaching and assessment policy in higher education?
There are many changes happening in teaching and learning in higher education that potentially are of great benefit to students with disabilities. This dialogue is designed to explore these changes and to generate debate and discussion on the topic of inclusive Teaching and Assessment, What is It, How can you influence it?
It will be a highly interactive discussion led by a panel of experts and guided by a facilitator and designed to generate an exchange of information and diverse knowledge.
A short presentation by Dr. Marian McCarthy, UCC and by Dr. Geraldine O’Neill, UCD will be followed by a panel discussion of case studies based within a real academic context will be the focus of discussion and experts will be invited to provide their analysis comment from the perspective of their own background. The audience is invited to participate. In this context the aim of the discussion dialogue will focus on the role of the disability and access officer in promoting inclusive teaching and assessment policy in higher education. Expert panellists include Dr. Marian McCarthy, Dr. Geraldine O’Neill and Declan Treanor, Director of Disability Supports, Trinity College.
