ESB - Engineering Graduates
Applications are currently open with ESB for two ring-fenced positions on their Engineering Graduate Development Programme. Both positions are three year contracts and will commence in September 2024.
Candidates who are interested in applying should have (or be working towards) a minimum NFQ Level 8 (2.1) Honours Degree in Engineering which is accredited by Engineers Ireland at CEng or CEng Further Learning standard.

The Engineering Graduate Programme is aimed at engineering professionals with less than two years post-graduation experience. The objective of the Programme is to launch you on a track to career success. You will grow professionally, develop key skills, and actively contribute to ESB’s Net Zero by 2040 strategy.
The Programme is structured into several distinct career pathways to provide learning and development through formal and on-the-job opportunities.

Structured Rotations – To give graduates a broad foundation, most graduates will be assigned to two different teams during their programme with reassignment typically happening after approximately 15-months. The second assignment may be in a different geographical location but frequently no relocation is required. The second assignment may be in the same division or in a totally new area. The graduates are given an opportunity to input into both of their assignments at interview and during the programme.
Location – Positions are available nationwide.
Hybrid Working – Hybrid working is a feature of roles outside of generating stations. Some opportunities may arise in other parts of the country.
