Title: What Works: Supporting Students with Disabilities in 3rd Level Education

When: 10:00-15:30, Nov 11th 2015

Where: Jurys Inn Custom House, 1 Custom House Quay, Dublin 1

Do you have students with disabilities or specific learning difficulties in your college? Did you know colleges are legally responsible for supporting students with disabilities?

This one day training course will give you an introduction to supporting students with disabilities in further and higher education and meeting your institution's legal requirements in this regard.

The event looks at strategies for supporting students, how to identify those supports (i.e. the needs assessment), what is a 'reasonable' accommodation and how to apply for funding to cover the supports put in place.

This is a must attend training seminar for those in further education with responsibility for students with disabilities and will give you the tools and knowledge to start supporting supports with best practice.

Cost: €80 per person - includes tea/coffee and lunch
