Disability Access Map

Students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties - follow your route to college with the DisAbility Access Map! This interactive online desktop tool will allow you to track your path to college step by step and give you lots of great information and advice about:

  • the college application procedures - including the CAO, DARE & PLC Applications.
  • what you need to do to prepare for college life - including getting your finances in order and academic tools (e,g, great apps) to help you succeed.
  • how to get supports in college and how to approach your first semester.

Once you are on the map, you can go step by step in order, or visit the map and jump to a different stage. This tool was developed by AHEAD and DAWN (Disability Advisors Working Network) with support from DARE and the Confederation of Student Services in Ireland.

System Requirements

DisAbility Access Map requires only a flash enabled desktop/laptop computer with a decent internet connection and speakers or headphones (if you wish to play the video content). Please note that this tool will work on some mobile devices, but to get maxium functionality and performance, it is recommended that users should access it using a desktop or laptop computer.
