WAM Leader Awards 2024
The WAM Leader Awards 2024 took place on the 25th June at the House of Lords, Bank of Ireland. The WAM Leader Awards are given to employers to recognise their contribution in facilitating WAM placements and promoting the employment of graduates with disabilities for 2023-24.
WAM partnered with 14 major employers in securing 69 positions for graduates with disabilities in 15 counties across Ireland. 520 applications were made to WAM roles last year with half of applicants invited for interviews. Over 200 staff from WAM Employers engaged in WAM specific training and almost 1000 attendees at WAM Employer events. WAM continued engagement with the public sector through the second year of the Permanency Pathway in the Civil Service, and the second year of our partnership with the Local Government sector. WAM also published The WAM Programme Statistics 2023 report which is an in-depth analysis of key statistics of the programme to date.
