Sustaining AT in the Future

An exploration of innovative approaches to strengthening the infrastructure of AT. First we'll hear from the University of Dundee outlining the development of the first masters programme for educational AT in the world. This presentation considers how and why MSc EduAT was developed, how it fits into a wider AT training ecosystem, provides an overview of the curriculum developed to train assistive technologists, includes a summary of what has been learned over the two years MSc EduAT has existed, alongside summarising research plans.

We will then hear from St John of God, Enable Ireland and Freedomtech sharing the co-design of the AT passport. The AT Passport has opened new opportunities for people to access all their Assistive Technology information in one app. We can share our needs, trigger the assessment step, match solutions, trail different ATs, discover funding pathways and share our evaluation. This puts us, the AT owners, in the driving seat.

This session will take place on Tuesday the 23rd of May, from 12:05pm.
