Think Twice about Assistive Technology!

The GetAHEAD programme at AHEAD is offering a free virtual workshop on the topic of Assistive Technology (AT) with our very own eLearning and Digital Media Officer!

In this practical workshop, we will explore how technologies - from mainstream features like Microsoft Office accessibility tools to specialised solutions - can better support you in the workplace. Drawing on real-life examples, you will gain insights into how best to discuss ATs with your employer and how they can be implemented for you. You will also learn about AHEAD's AT Hive, including its 'Discover Your Assistive Technology' feature, which matches you with tools tailored to your needs.

Danielle O’Rourke – AHEAD

Danielle has worked a variety of roles, including Learning Technologist, Instructional Designer, Digital Tutor, and is now Digital Media & eLearning Officer at AHEAD. Her experience includes the development, design, and production of learning items, including eLearning, with a focus on digital accessibility, universal design, and disability rights. 


With practical tips and real-world case studies, don't miss the opportunity to learn how you can identify, access, and advocate for the right AT tools in your workplace!
