Prioritising Accessibility in Design
Practical examples of common design issues that arise when accessibility and Assistive Technology (AT) users needs are not fully understood or considered. The importance of universal design and the prioritisation of accessibility in design through the consideration of all users.
We plan to walk through a number of examples of how to identify common design issues, who they impact most and what to consider in order to ensure that designs are made more accessible for everyone. We will particularly focus on the impact each issue may have for Assistive Technology (AT) users and recommend ways to enhance these designs in order to improve the experience for all users.
