What to expect:
- GATHER is online-only, taking place via Zoom webinar. You'll receive a link to enter via email after you register, and again an hour before the event begins. Register for the event here if you haven't already.
- It takes place from 10am to 1pm daily on Tuesday 27th May, Wednesday 28th May, and Thursday 29th May 2025.
- The schedule for the event is available in the following formats:
- The sessions will consist of different speakers introducing themselves and a project they have worked on or are working on, a topic that is important to them, and some more interactive "workshop-like" sessions.
- You are free to engage in whatever way suits you best; you can type a message or questions directly into the Zoom chat, or you can use the "raise hand" function on Zoom, and one of our AHEAD Tech Support will give you permission to unmute your microphone, if you'd prefer to ask a question verbally.
- Most speakers will pause for questions at the end of their session, however, some speakers may let you know that they are open to questions during too.
- The sessions will be recorded and made available on the AHEAD YouTube Channel and Website after the event.
- Your camera will not be turned on for the webinar, unless you are presenting or request it to be for certain periods - do be aware that if you choose to turn on your camera, you may be captured on the video recording.
- AHEAD Tech Support will be online to post any relevant information and links into the chat box, and to respond to your messages or queries.
- Manual captioning (i.e., a human captioner) will be available during the event through use of the Zoom "CC" button.
- The slides or materials that speakers will be sharing are available on the event website - navigate to the session you're interested in by using the "Day 1", "Day 2", and "Day 3" buttons on the navigation menu above, then into the relevant session. There will be a short description of the session, information about any speakers, and a link to open up the slides, materials, or the organisation's website.
- Please note that we perform accessibility checks on all materials before they are uploaded; if you do encounter any accessibility issues with the materials, please let us know A.S.A.P. and we will rectify same.
