Pfizer Science or Engineering Interns - Kildare

Applications are currently open for four Science and /or Engineering Interns with Pfizer Newbridge, Kildare. 

Applicants should have a minimum NFQ Level 7 degree in either Science or Engineering discipline.  This may include, but is not limited to, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation / Robotics related courses. Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Food Science, Mathematics etc will also be considered.

No previous work experience is required.  These are six month contract positions working onsite at Newbridge, Kildare and expected to start in September 2026.

 Role Duties and Responsibilities 

Pfizer Kildare have a 6-month placement opportunity for candidates who are interested in progressing their career in Science or Engineering field.  The successful candidates will be supported with a program that provides structure, mentoring and coaching.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum Level 7 NFQ Degree in a Science or Engineering discipline. This may include, but is not limited to, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation / Robotics related courses. Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Food Science, Mathematics etc will also be considered.

  • Understanding of appropriate Directives, Standards, Policies and Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Industry e.g. cGMP

  • No previous work experience is required

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within the Quality, Technology, Operations or Engineering department

  • Assists Engineering in providing manufacturing support

  • Ensures full Environmental Health and Safety compliance in Quality or Engineering activities

  • Facilitates improvements in Quality or Engineering processes

  • Supports sites projects when required

  • Read and understand relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Work instruction
