The GetAHEAD programme at AHEAD is offering a free virtual workshop with Revenue, focused on understanding tax responsibilities and using Revenue Online Services (ROS) for students and graduates entering the workforce.

Navigating tax as you start your career can feel overwhelming, but this workshop is designed to provide practical guidance on basic tax responsibilities, available tax credits and reliefs for people with disabilities, and how to use Revenue’s online tools.
Jessica McCarthy, a Higher Executive Officer with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners, will deliver an insightful session on key tax topics, followed by a Q&A and a brief discussion on career opportunities within Revenue.
About Jessica
Jessica has 6 years’ experience working for the Office of the Revenue Commissioners and currently works in Personal Division specialising in PAYE Tax and ‘Help To Buy’. Jessica is responsible for the Cork Outreach and regularly represents Revenue at public events, for example, giving presentations to Transition Year Students in schools or to the attendees of the ‘Over 50s Senior Times’ Events. She graduated with honours in ‘Film, Media, and Journalism Studies’ from the University of Stirling in Scotland. Prior to that she was schooled in France for 7 years. Though she is originally from Kinsale, Co. Cork.
Jessica is passionate about delivering excellent Customer Service and supporting the Civil Service ethos of integrity, impartiality, equality, fairness and respect.
