WAM Graduates Share Their Stories
Welcome to our WAM Graduate Story series, where previous graduates of the programme talk about their experiences of seeking employment and the role WAM played in their journey. Through these videos, you'll hear first-hand accounts of their WAM placements and their experiences with disability disclosure, the WAM needs assessment, understanding reasonable accommodations, and their aspirations for the future.
Over the past 20 years WAM has proudly supported over 750 graduates to secure paid and mentored work placements, while also championing inclusivity in the workplace. Here are some key highlights that programme has had for graduates with disabilities:
- 81% of WAM graduates secured employment as a direct result of their WAM placement
- 92% of graduates gained confidence in their ability to work in a mainstream environment
- 98% of graduates disclosed their disability while on placement with a WAM employer
