ALTITUDE - Adopting Institutions
ALTITUDE - the National Charter for Universal Design in Tertiary Education - operates on a self-adoption model, requiring only a public communication to be released via the organisations website to confirm their adoption. More information on how to adopt and what that means for your institution can be found here.
As of April 2026, 24 tertiary education institutions/organisations have adopted and begun implementation of the ALTITUDE Charter, including:
- 10 Education and Training Boards (ETBs)
- 7 publicly funded higher education institutions (HEIs)
- 5 private colleges/other tertiary education providers
- 2 national representative bodies/state agencies
The following institutions have adopted and made the public commitment to implement the ALTITUDE Charter. If your institution has adopted the Charter and is not featured below, please contact altitude@ahead.ie and notify us, linking us to the public press release/statement confirming your adoption, and we will add you to the list.
