Ann Kennedy is a Dublin-based educator and technology professional with over two decades of experience spanning engineering, IT, and further education in the City of Dublin FET College - Dhulaigh. She holds a B.Eng in Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University and a first-class M.Eng in Renewable Energy from Maynooth University.
Ann began her career as a Sort Product Engineer at Intel Ireland before moving into education, spending nearly twelve years as an IT teacher at City of Dublin FET Colleges - Dhulaigh, where she taught programming, networking, and Microsoft certification courses, and served as lead coordinator of the Fasttrack to IT programme.
In 2018, Ann returned to her passion for education, rejoining City of Dublin ETB where she currently teaches Computer Science and Engineering at QQI Levels 5 and 6. She is an active participant in the Erasmus+ GenAI4VET project, exploring the integration of generative AI in vocational education and training. Committed to inclusive practice, Ann earned her Universal Design for Learning (UDL) badge in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Master's in Diversity and Inclusion in Further Education and Training at Trinity College Dublin, with her thesis examining teacher attitudes to generative AI in FET.
