Welcome to the GetAHEAD blog! My name is Caroline McGrotty and I co-ordinate the GetAHEAD project. By getting here, you probably have navigated your way around the revamped AHEAD website and the brand new GetAHEAD section, if you haven’t had a look yet, well then get browsing!
I’m really excited for this blog section because not only will it be a useful resource for you to learn about student life and employment related issues but also an opportunity for you to contribute if you wish!
We are aiming to update the GetAHEAD blog every month with articles submitted by you on the general theme of student life, disability and employment. Below are some ideas of topics you could write about if you are interested in submitting an article.
- How-to and Top 10 lists
- Personal experiences about student life
- Using accommodations in college or in the workplace
- Assistive technology in college or the workplace
- Transitioning from college to work
- Managing your disability
- Job searching
- Reviews of events / technology or seminars
