Niamh Kennedy is the current Vice President for Equality and Citizenship in the Union of Students Ireland. Originally from TUS Limerick School of Art and Design, Niamh has spent years organising and developing policies for minority groups within TUS and now in USI/AMLÉ. Niamh will be facilitating this group of student activists for this panel, handing the mic over to students advocating for themselves and others on their own campuses.

Julka Taylor is a 21-year-old English and History student in UCC. They are the current chairperson of UCC's Bród Society. Before that they were the accessibility officer, where their accessibility campaign "Accessibility Symbols" which resulted in the society winning the accessibility awareness award at UCC Societies STARS Awards. Since then they have worked with the exec to get their accessibility logos used by all UCC Societies. They believe working towards further accessibility is never something that should be complete, there is always more you can do.

Oisin is a third-year media student at Technological University Dublin and serves as the disability officer at TUD. As a wheelchair user, Oisin is deeply passionate about accessibility and inclusivity on campus. They strongly believe that all students should have an equal opportunity to fully experience student life, regardless of whether or not they have a disability.

Daniel Sanusi is an advocate for equality and inclusion, currently serving as the Vice President of Equality and Belonging at Ulster University Students' Union (UUSU). As part of the SWANN (Students with Additional Needs Network) initiative, he works to amplify the voices of students with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity are prioritised across campus.

Daniel is committed to fostering student-led change, breaking down barriers, and promoting self-advocacy. At the Power of Disability event, he will share insights on his work with SWANN, discussing strategies to create an inclusive university environment where all students can thrive.

Banba Fitzgerald – GetAHEAD Officer, AHEAD

Banba Fitzgerald holds two first class honours degrees from University College Dublin including a BSc in Science and an MSc in Business & Biotherapeutics. She is very passionate about the healthcare and disability sectors and has personal experience with hidden disabilities. Her background has largely been in the pharmaceutical and medical communications industries with experience in a variety of areas including project and event management. At present, Banba is currently working in AHEAD as GetAHEAD Officer and is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the disability community.

Alice has a Bachelors degree in Makeup & Character Design from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), where she honed her creative skills and developed a keen eye for detail. With a deep passion for advocacy, politics, and social justice issues, Alice pursued further education, earning a postgraduate certificate in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion from the University of Limerick.

Having worked in the mental health sector for a number of years before coming to AHEAD, Alice is driven by a commitment to fostering inclusivity and understanding,  dedicated to promoting Diversity, Inclusion and Mental Health awareness and cultivating a positive workplace culture.
