This paper presents interim analysis from an ongoing research study exploring how best to support higher education staff to embed Universal Design in their practice. Barriers to engaging with professional learning and potential solutions are discussed. The findings also offer evidence of the impact of professional learning on practice.

These stressors will be viewed through the lens of UDL 3.0 to highlight the possibilities for reducing unnecessary barriers in the learning experience through a UDL approach.

This presentation explores digital inclusion in higher education, examining barriers faced by neurodiverse, sensory, and cognitively diverse learners. Drawing on AHEAD participation data (2021–2024), it highlights rising neurodiversity and gaps in current accessibility standards, proposing a Cognitive-Technical Accessibility framework for equitable online learning.

Assessing Dyslexia in Adult Learners: A collaborative Level 1–3 Approach
The aim of this project was to develop and test a new, faster, and more efficient model for adult dyslexia assessment. Taking into account, the project needed to encompass the ideals of being trauma sensitive, efficient, and with no financial burden on the student.
